You have to have purchased it, the only possibility is that you have a trial code for Factions.

Wait, so your saying that you have factions content, yet you didnt actually buy factions??? Are you on a trial key for factions or something?

Oh. Well, to answer your question, no, you dont play Nightfall just by beating Factions. Nightfall, as well as Factions, is a whole new game, an expansion. Heard Nightfall is going for half price at Gamestop, you should probably look into it.
